Hernando Josué Suárez Camargo is an attorney with specializations in Commercial Law and Public Management & Administrative Institutions, and has extensive experience in corporate, contractual, commercial, and compliance matters. He currently serves as an Associate of the Firm and is part of the Corporate and Business team.

He holds a Law Degree from Universidad Santo Tomás, a specialization in Commercial Law from Universidad del Rosario, and a specialization in Public Management & Administrative Institutions from Universidad de los Andes. He also completed a certificate program in SARLAFT – SAGRILAFT – PTEE, and holds certifications issued by the Financial Information and Analysis Unit (UIAF). His academic background is complemented by a strategic and managerial approach to law, with a focus on sound legal advisory and risk prevention through the implementation and strengthening of compliance and management systems.

Before joining the Firm, he worked as an attorney at Consorcio Solar Puerta de Oro, Schrader Camargo, and the Colombian Navy, among others. In these roles, he participated in corporate and contractual processes, the implementation and monitoring of compliance systems, labor law advisory, and negotiations with public and private entities.

His practice also includes regulatory compliance advisory related to cryptoassets and virtual assets, particularly in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with ML/TF/PF risks, in line with regulatory standards and guidance issued by competent authorities.

He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
