Juanita Castro is a Partner leading the Tax Law practice at the Firm. She brings over 15 years of experience across both public and private sectors, advising corporations and high-net-worth individuals on tax matters, fiscal planning, and commercial and corporate law.

In the public sphere, she served as Legal Director at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, where she advised several Finance Ministers on highly complex issues involving tax, constitutional, and economic law at both national and international levels. Her role was instrumental in shaping and implementing the country’s economic policy, including the design and legislative process of tax and customs reforms and complementary regulatory frameworks. She also contributed to strategic decision-making as a member of the Boards of Directors of various state-owned enterprises.

Juanita earned her Law degree from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), where she also specialized in Taxation and Financial Management. She holds a Master’s degree in Taxation from the same institution.
