Daniel García Piñeros
Daniel García is the Founding Partner and Managing Partner of Gamboa, García, Roldán & Co. Abogados. He has more than 20 years of experience advising local and international clients.
He leads the Firm’s Corporate Law practice, advising domestic and international clients on mergers and acquisitions transactions, real estate projects and developments, corporate matters, as well as company formation, organization, and liquidation processes. He also provides counsel on telecommunications and intellectual property matters and has participated in the structuring and sale of energy projects in Colombia. In addition, he advises Colombian families on estate planning and succession matters.
He was also a founding partner of DG&C Abogados and De La Rosa & García Abogados. Prior to joining the Firm, he served as Legal Manager of Telmex Colombia S.A.; was a Senior Associate at Posse, Herrera & Ruiz S.A.; an Associate at Ernst & Young Asesores Ltda.; a Senior Associate and Junior Associate at Baker & McKenzie; Assistant to the General Manager of Agrupación Internacional de Servicios Energéticos (A.I.S.E.); and a Paralegal at the law firm Gamboa, Chalela, Gamboa & Useche.
Mr. García earned his law degree from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia). He holds a Specialist Degree in Financial Legislation from Universidad de los Andes and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Northwestern University (Chicago, United States). He also completed the English Legal System for Non-Common Law Lawyers program at Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge (United Kingdom), and the American Legal System program at George Washington University (Washington, D.C., United States).
