Alberto Escobar Gutiérrez has more than 13 years of experience advising local and international clients in law firms and in the real sector as an in-house lawyer. Alberto focuses his practice on the structuring of real estate projects; drafting, negotiating, and reviewing real estate-related contracts; implementing legal structures for the development of real estate projects; preparing and reviewing title and urban planning due diligence; and issuing legal opinions within his area of expertise.

Before joining the firm, Alberto worked at Brigard Urrutia Abogados, where he served as a senior attorney advising one of the largest real estate investment vehicles in the country. Prior to that, Alberto worked at Posse Herrera Ruiz Abogados as an associate in the firm’s real estate, urban planning, and agribusiness team.

Alberto obtained his law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá, Colombia). During his undergraduate studies, he completed additional coursework at the same university, including a Diploma in Public Procurement and a Diploma in Real Estate Law. He also holds a specialization in Administrative Law from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá, Colombia) and a specialization in Urban Law from Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá, Colombia).

Alberto is fluent in Spanish and English.
