Francisco de Luque serves as Of Counsel in the Firm’s Tax practice. With over 23 years of experience, he advises domestic and international clients on tax planning for mergers and acquisitions, and has played a key role in the structuring and sale of companies across multiple industries, including energy projects in Colombia. He also counsels Colombian families on wealth management and succession planning, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation in complex fiscal matters.

Francisco was a founding partner of DG&C Abogados, a senior associate in the tax practice of Brigard & Urrutia, and an associate at Posse, Herrera & Ruiz. In the public sector, he served as an advisor to the Legal Office of the Colombian Tax Authority (DIAN) and as counsel in its Doctrine Division, External Representation Division, and Customs Appeals Division, where he provided interpretative guidance and defended high-impact positions before administrative and judicial bodies.

He earned his Law degree from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) and holds a specialization in Financial Legislation from the same institution.

Francisco is fluent in Spanish and English.
